Candidate Filing Information
The filing period for 2025 municipal elections is: 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 22 – 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, Myrtle Beach City Hall, 937 Broadway Street. All candidates must file with City Clerk Jennifer Adkins. There is no filing fee. Council and mayoral seats are elected at-large and serve four-year terms (2025–2029).
Absentee Ballot Info & Certification
- Absentee ballots will be counted at the Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center, 1101 North Oak Street.
- The Municipal Election Commission will certify results and review any challenged ballots at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6 at City Hall.
- If a runoff is needed, it will take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
