Myrtle Beach Crime

On the issue of public safety, we have hired 10 new police officers each year since I’ve taken office, and have committed to hiring more. We have invested in new technologies such as an advanced drone system, facial recognition software, and over 1,000 cameras, all to help solve crimes faster. While we still have much to do, in the past 4 years our part one crimes, such as rape, homicide, and aggravated assault are down more than 13% percent.

While we’re proud of these accomplishments and are encouraged in the direction we are going, we will continue to work hard to make Myrtle Beach the safest it has ever been.
