Crime in Myrtle Beach

When it comes to crime in Myrtle Beach…I don’t take it lightly. The issue of public safety is very important; that’s why we have hired 30 new police officers and have budgeted to hire more.
We invested in new technologies like an advanced drone system, facial recognition software, and cameras to help solve crimes faster and more efficiently.
While we still have much to do, in the past 4 years our part-one crimes, such as rape, homicide, and aggravated assault are down more than 13% percent.
